We’re investigating major news sources to determine why many fill their pages with fear-based, sensational, or otherwise exploitative or damaging headlines, articles, imagery, and other content.

Not all news agencies are a member of our target group. There certainly are agencies that generate significantly better media than those involved in our investigations. Our statistics show BBC, Deutsche Welle, and the CBC consistently produce a relatively high level of relevant, valuable, and informative news.

Highest on our hit list of agencies producing the worst headlines are Reuters, Fox News, Al Jazeera, CNN, and France 24. We’ll be investigating the policies and practices of each of these agencies as we pursue our investigation, getting to the roots of fear in mass media.
