In the course of our investigations we seek to determine whether an individual, a subset of individuals, or a corporate culture is to blame for damaging news produced by certain major news sources.

Our goals in these investigation:

• Contact an editor or other source member to gain an understanding of internal policies that might explain the news agencies current practices
• Discuss recent headlines with the contacted source member to gauge their reaction
• Continue correspondence, seeking copies of internal policies or other interaction that will allow us to determine the cause and motives causing the agency to manufacture damaging news
